Why Travel to Zagreb?
Zagreb is one of Central Europe's most underrated capitals. It doesn't try too hard to impress — and that's exactly what makes it interesting. The Upper Town (Gornji grad) is medieval and quiet. The Lower Town (Donji grad) is café culture, art nouveau architecture, and excellent restaurants.
The Dolac market in the morning, an espresso on Tkalčićeva Street in the afternoon, dinner at a konoba in the evening — Zagreb rewards those who slow down and look properly.
It's also a practical hub: close to Plitvice Lakes and a reasonable drive to the Dalmatian coast.

- Day trip to Plitvice Lakes — only 2 hours south, easily combined with a Zagreb stay
Zagreb as Your Entry Point to Slovenia
Many travellers think of this route as "Ljubljana Airport to Zagreb" — but it works just as well in reverse. If you're flying into Zagreb Airport (ZAG) and your actual destination is Slovenia, we can pick you up there and drive you north. Ljubljana is just 1h 45min from Zagreb Airport, Bled about 2h 15min.
Or: spend a night in Zagreb after landing, then we drive you north in the morning. Zagreb's hotel rates are lower than Ljubljana, and the city is worth an evening.
Zagreb + Plitvice: The Natural Add-On
Plitvice Lakes National Park is exactly halfway between Zagreb and the Dalmatian coast — and only 2 hours south of Ljubljana Airport. If you're transferring through this region, a stop at Plitvice is easy to arrange.

How to Get from Brnik Airport to Zagreb
The most straightforward option is a private transfer directly from arrivals at Brnik to your Zagreb hotel. The drive is about 1 hour 45 minutes on the A2/A3 motorway.
There is no direct bus from Ljubljana Airport to Zagreb. Public transport requires a shuttle to Ljubljana bus station, then a separate coach to Zagreb — adding 1–2 hours of waiting and transfers.
