For most travellers arriving at Pula, the plan is simple: get to Rovinj or Poreč and start the holiday. But Pula itself is worth at least a morning — the Roman amphitheatre (Arena Pula) right in the city centre is one of the best-preserved in the world. If you're not in a rush, ask us to route via the city centre on the way to your hotel.

🏟️ Arena Pula — Roman amphitheatre, 2000 years old 6th largest Roman arena in the world. Completely intact outer walls. From the airport to the Arena: ~10 minutes. Worth a quick stop before heading north.

🛶 Rovinj — ~35 min from the airport The most beautiful town in Istria for many travellers. Colourful houses rising from the sea, cobblestone old town on a peninsula, excellent restaurants. Your taxi ride there is shorter than most airport queues.

🍋 Poreč — ~50 min from the airport Bigger, more resort-style. Euphrasian Basilica (UNESCO). Beach promenade. Good for families. Main charter destination in Istria.

Fly Into Pula, End in Ljubljana — Or the Other Way Around

A popular itinerary: fly into Pula Airport, spend a week in Istria, then transfer to Ljubljana and fly home from Brnik (LJU).
