Discover Porec
Porec is one of Istria's most popular towns, and for good reason. The old town is built on a Roman grid — you can still walk the Decumanus, the main Roman street. At its heart stands the Euphrasian Basilica, a 6th-century church with stunning Byzantine mosaics that earned it UNESCO World Heritage status.
Beyond history, Porec is a family destination. The coastline south of town is dotted with resorts, beaches, and water parks. The surrounding countryside offers wine tasting, truffle hunting, and cycling through olive groves.
And the food — Istrian cuisine is a blend of Italian and Croatian flavors. Truffles, fresh pasta, grilled fish, local olive oil, and wines like Malvasia that pair perfectly with a sea view.
