Why Rovinj?
If you asked a hundred travelers to name the most beautiful town in Istria, most would say Rovinj. It's that kind of place — the one that makes you stop, stare, and reach for your camera.
The old town sits on a peninsula, with colorful buildings stacked tightly against each other, laundry hanging from windows, and cats sleeping in doorways. At the top, the Church of St. Euphemia rises above everything, its bell tower visible from miles away.
Rovinj has an artistic soul. Galleries and studios fill the old town. The harbor is full of fishing boats. And the sunsets from the waterfront promenade are — without exaggeration — some of the best in the Mediterranean.

The Drive
From Ljubljana, Rovinj is about 2 hours and 30 minutes. The drive crosses into Croatia and follows the Istrian motorway south. We handle the border crossing.
The last stretch passes through the green Istrian countryside — olive groves, vineyards, and stone villages. It feels like driving into a different world.
