Vrsar is the kind of place that rewards slow travel. This small hilltop town sits quietly between the tourist magnets of Porec and Rovinj, with its own harbor, its own beaches, and its own story.
Legend has it that Casanova himself visited Vrsar and wrote about it in his memoirs. The town has attracted artists and sculptors for decades — there's an open-air sculpture park and an annual summer art festival.
Just north of town lies the Lim Fjord — a dramatic 10-kilometer channel where fresh and salt water mix. It's famous for oysters and mussels, harvested right there and served at waterside restaurants.

The Drive
From Ljubljana, Vrsar is about 2 hours 15 minutes. Located between Porec and Rovinj on the western Istrian coast. The drive is smooth via the Istrian motorway.
