Getting Out of Poreč
Poreč is one of Istria's most popular resorts — the Euphrasian Basilica, the long seafront promenade, beaches that fill up through summer. When it's time to leave, the practical question is how to reach Ljubljana Airport without spending half a day on buses.
A private transfer solves it: one car, one fixed price, picked up from your apartment or hotel.

Poreč — What Makes It Different from the Rest of Istria
Poreč sits in the middle of the western Istrian coast — south of Umag, north of Rovinj, with Pula at the tip. It's the most family-resort-oriented of the Istrian towns, with the largest hotel complexes and the most organised beach infrastructure. That's not a criticism — it just sets the expectation.
The reason to stop in Poreč if you're transferring through: the Euphrasian Basilica. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, it's a 6th-century Early Byzantine basilica with original gold mosaics that rival anything in Ravenna. The basilica complex (church, baptistery, atrium, bishop's palace) takes about 30–45 minutes to see. It's on the main promenade, impossible to miss.
If your flight is in the afternoon, a morning departure from Poreč with a 45-minute stop at the basilica, then continuing north past Piran to Ljubljana, is a genuinely good last day.
